Gay Cruise & Travel Podcast
EVERY Upcoming Atlantis Cruise in 2026, 2027...2028?
From episode 68 of the Gay Cruise & Travel Podcast w/ JustJoeyT
I just returned from the Atlantis LA-Mexico cruise, and I’ve brought back more than just a tan. During the voyage, Atlantis founder and president Rich Campbell hosted an "Ask Atlantis" Q&A session, sharing a comprehensive update on what’s ahead for 2026, 2027, and even some early whispers for 2028.
And of course, I told detailed notes so that I could deliver this update to all of you 😉 So here is everything we know about the Atlantis cruises in 2026, 2027…even a peek into 2028!
2026

Hello, and welcome to the Gay Cruiser & Travel podcast with me Just Joey T brought to you by Just Joey Travels. Which is my one person travel agency. I am a professional travel advisor specializing in Atlantis cruises, so you first time potential New Atlantis Cruisers thinking about going on your first Atlantis cruise hit me up. Just Joey travels dot com or you can DM the at Just Joey travels Instagram account.
All right, today is really exciting I just got back a few days ago from the Atlantis LA Mexico cruise, Had an awesome time on that cruise and on many of the Atlantis Cruises Rich Campbell, who is the founder and president of Atlantis, he will usually do a "Ask Atlantis" little Q&A session basically, so anyone who wants to ask Atlantis anything Rich and also some of the other Atlantis Crew members they will just host like this little like round table type Q&A session. One of the things that Rich usually likes to do is give an update of the cruises that are already announced coming up and also a sneak peek a little heads up on some unannounced upcoming Atlantis cruises. Because obviously I was on the cruise and I was there for the Ask Atlantis session. I took notes. I took detailed notes so that all of you would have this information.
So today we're going to go through every single cruise that has been announced by Atlantis. That's on the Atlantis Website and I'll give you an update on those particular ones. So if you had your eye on something that's already announced, I'm going to go through basically how well they're selling and also what the pricing is like for the rooms that are still currently available, because I know a lot of you are thinking about maybe going your first cruise, you might have your eye on one of the cruises that are already announced that is already available for public sales. So I'm going to go through all of that briefly, not in detail, because we don't need to dig into everything. We've got a lot of cruises to cover, so this is really exciting.
Beyond those, I'm going to talk about the cruises in 2027 that we know are coming, but for most of them we don't have the details and those are not fully announced by Atlantis yet. But because Rich gave everybody a heads up, I'm going to give you the heads up. Rich also gave us a little bit of like a couple of things that are also coming in 2028. So this is a super exciting podcast because I just went on this cruise with Atlantis. That's why I'm able to bring all of this information to you, OK?
Before we get started on all of that, I want all of you to know that I am starting to create Facebook groups for Upcoming Atlantis Cruises So for two of the cruises I just created a Facebook group. This is for the San Diego to Mexico Cruise that will be this November and also the Southern Caribbean cruise sailing in March of next year, in 2027. Those are the two groups that I just created. Yes, I know they're very empty right now, but one of the primary reasons for creating my Facebook groups is a way for me to communicate to people that are thinking about taking those cruisers, potential cruisers for those sailings and also for people who have booked whether they book through me or through direct with Atlanta through someone else and it's a way for me to just dispense my advice, my guidance for people thinking about those cruises or going on those cruises because it's not quite sustainable for me to get DMs for every single one of you with the advice. So this is a much more scalable way, a much more accessible way for the public at large to get their Just Joey Travels advice and guidance.
But obviously if you are booked with me, if you're a proper client of Just Joey Travels, then you do get high touch, bright glove service you can go one and one with me. But I want there to be something for everyone. So those are the 2 sailings for which I just created Facebook groups. Yes, they are a little bearer right now, but as we get closer to sailings, there will be more and more posts from me to give everybody guidance and advice for those coming soon. I'm also going to create one for the Thanksgiving cruise, which is also this November and there will be 1 coming for the big one in March 2027. That's the Allure of the Seas cruise, all right.
We're going to start going through all of the cruises that we know of, starting chronologically from the next one that's coming up. I'm going to be listing prices for the ones that have already been announced, the ones that are already on public sale. All the prices I'm going to list are assuming double occupancy, and these are the per person prices. What does that mean? Double occupancy means the prices are assuming there'll be two people staying in that one room and the prices are per person. So let's say I say that this room is $2000. That means there'll be two people staying in that one room and each of them will pay $2000. So it's basically $4000 for the entire cabin. OK, that's what I mean by double occupancy per person prices. There are some solo rates that I will be touching on as well that are still available some of the ceilings. If I talk about a solar rate, then I will say it's a solar rate, then that's just for one person to have the room all themselves.
OK, sit down. Buckle up. We're going to go quite quickly so that we don't spend an hour here. Next cruise coming out is July 5th to the 15th, sailing in the Mediterranean from Athens to Venice on the Virgin Scarlet Lady. It is already on public sale. If you want my deep dive on it, listen to podcast episode number 43. So the Med cruises, there's two of them. They've been announced for quite a while now. This is the first one going to go to Mykonos, Istanbul, Santorini, Dubrovnik. This one is about 90% sold, very roughly like 160 or 170 rooms left. The kind of rooms that are still available are the interior rooms, ocean view and ocean balcony. So the interior rooms there's maybe like 10/15/20 ish interior rooms. There's not that many left. There is a promotional rate for an interior room on this cruise, it's called the Sail Away special and it's $2089 again, double occupancy per person, OK. There are a few solo insider rooms left, so these rooms are specifically designed only for one person. You get a smaller bed, it's a narrower bed. It's not like a queen size or king size bed, and it's a smaller room as well. It's physically designed for one person. Looks like there are two or three rooms of these still available. The Solo Price is just under 4000 last time I checked.
I did all these checks on Monday morning, by the way. There's one ocean view room left for just under 2500, maybe by the time you try to book it, it may or may not be there. However, there are lots of ocean balcony rooms, at least 150, probably a bit more, starting from just under 2700 dollars. All right, moving on. The next cruise, it's the second Med cruise and it's back-to-back to the first one. So the second one is July 15th through the 24th from Venice to Barcelona on the exact same ship. Again episode 43 of the podcast has a deep dive on that. Croatia, Sicily, Sorrento, Rome, Nice, just some of the stops on this one. This is very nearly sold out when I checked. There are exactly 5 rooms left. All of them are Central Ocean balcony or central sea terrace rooms and they are about 2800 dollars. So if you really really wanted that Venice to Barcelona cruise that's the only type of room available and there's only 5 left so you need to book like immediately right now.
We're going to fast forward to two cruises in November. November 7th to the 14th, one from San Diego to Mexico. This is on the Holland America Koningsdam ship which Atlantis has sailed once before. It is not a cruise line or a ship that they sail very often. It just went on public sale so literally yesterday, Sunday night slash Monday morning. The previous episode of the podcast before this one, I release a deep dive into this San Diego to Mexico cruise. That's episode 67. Go check out episode 67 for that deep dive. Sailing out of San Diego, it's going to go to Cabo, PV Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan, it's very similar to the itinerary of the sailing that I just got off of which is the LA Mexico cruise. So it just went on public sale, there's a lot of availability there. So you don't really need to be concerned about how well sold it is. Right now interior rooms starting from $1300, Ocean view rooms from 1400 and ocean balcony, a basic ocean balcony starting from 1500. They have quite a few different ocean balcony categories on this particular ship. There are two types of suites that are still available, they're roughly like 15 ish of each of these types of suites. We have a Vista Suite, it's just like an extra large regular room. It's only a little bit more than a regular room, so it's just over 2200 dollars. Or you can get a Neptune Suite which is kind of like a more proper suite like a proper living area in there for just over $3800. Last I checked there roughly 30 suites total ish that are still available. Tons and tons of ocean balcony rooms that are still left. Decent number of the interior and the ocean view rooms about like 60 to 70 of each of those. So it just went on public sales, there's still lots of availability, but that is one that I'm kind of excited about just because I went on the LA Mexico cruise just last week because I love, love, love the West Coast itinerary. Cabo has tons of shore excursions you can take, horseback riding, Cabo back riding, ATVs and like all these boat rides, there's like so many things you can do in Cabo. It's really great. Puerto Vallarta, if you've ever been before, it's like the gay Mecca down in Mexico. So it's just so fun to actually get off the boat in PV, so great, great itinerary. It's one of my personal favorites.
All right, moving on. The other cruise in November is the Thanksgiving cruise. It's on public sale, it's been on public sale for like a couple months now. Go check out episode 58 of the podcast if you want that deep dive. It's sailing out of Miami on the Virgin Resilient Lady. It's going to go to Puerto Plata, I can never pronounce that, San Juan and also the beach club at Bimini, which is going to be a private club for when this ship is docked there. Only the passengers on this ship will be allowed into that beach club. I talk a lot more about this beach club in that episode 58 so go check that one out. Very, very roughly, it's about 3/4 sold. And Rich also did mention a few days ago when I was on board with him that the Thanksgiving cruise for this year is selling surprisingly well. It's selling pretty strongly and I can believe that. The last time they did a Thanksgiving cruise was Thanksgiving 2024, and I was on that cruise, but they didn't have a lot of time to sell that cruise. They didn't put it on sale until like four or five months before it departed so they didn't really have a chance to do the full marketing and a lot of people tend to have Thanksgiving plans and the later you wait, the more likely people already have plans for like a major holiday. But the Thanksgiving one it's going to be a little bit of a unique vibe. You know it's people that want to celebrate the holidays on a special setting like on a gay cruise.
So this one is very roughly 3 quarters sold. Interior rooms, there's only about like 16 or 18 interior rooms left. There is the solo insider rooms, I counted about 15 of those. So if you are a solo cruiser and you don't have anything going on for Thanksgiving, I think this might be my pick. I think this is like a really great first time cruise to go on if you have nothing to do for Thanksgiving. So the solo rate for one of the 15 solo Insider rooms still available is just over 2600 dollars. That is pretty cheap for a solo room, because if you remember some of the numbers I was spitting out for some of these other cruises, Med cruises are always like very expensive, but even for like a US sailing to get a room all to yourself for under 2700 dollars, that's actually pretty good. A regular double occupancy inside room last time I checked was only one of those left, that's just over 1600. Ocean View Rooms has roughly 20 of these left for just over $3700 and then there are tons of ocean balconies. All these Virgin ships, they're very ocean balcony cabin heavy. So they don't have that many interior or ocean view rooms, but they traded some of those to have lots of ocean balcony rooms. That's just the way they chose to design those ships. There is a solo promotional rate for ocean balcony rooms on this Thanksgiving cruise it's going to be 3559 dollars. That's the solo rate. It's a promotional rate, meaning you do not get to choose your room location or your exact room number. Atlantis will pick the room for you. That means the room could have an obscure view, you could have a smaller balcony, you could have a balcony with metal railing instead of a glass railing that you can see through, it might be in a noisy area, it might be in a busy area, just a generally possibly less attractive room to book. Probably not a room that you would pick yourself if you had the chance. But that's what you get by going with the promotional rate, you save some money. If you just want like a regular rate room, those are just the double occupancy rates, those are not the solo rates, that's starting from $2000. So the pricing is actually pretty attractive. The San Diego to Mexico one, the cruise ship must be a lot cheaper for them to charter because the prices are really quite low. San Diego, Mexico cruise on the Koningsdam earlier in November, those are some of the lowest prices you're going to see on any Atlantis cruise like interior room for like 1300. That's real cheap, all right.
That is 2026. We're going to go full steam ahead right into 2027. March 7th to the 14th, the Allure of the Seas, AKA the Big One. This is what I sometimes call the party cruise, but I think I'm going to stop calling it the party cruise because I feel like it's misleading. When this goes on public sale, I will do a full podcast episode on it and I will explain why. It's going to be out of Miami. The alumni presale should be starting very soon. So Rich said quote unquote "this week" it will get released. The way Atlantis sells the cruises is there's three stages. The first stage is they'll sell it to people that were on that cruise last year. So the equivalent cruise in 2026 is the Symphony cruise, so the people that sail Symphony this year they already got their first dips to put a deposit down on the Allure for 2027. I know because I was on Symphony and I was given that option. The second stage is the alumni presale. That means anyone who has sailed with Atlantis before, not just on a specific sailing, they get an exclusive presale period to access the cruise before the general public. Phase 3 is the general public phase. OK, so we should be hitting alumni presale pretty soon. Rich said like this week. ETAs from Atlantis are very heavy on the E, very light on the A. Did that make sense? Heavy on the estimate, very light on the arrival. It may or may not come. I will let all of you know when it goes on public sale. I will let you know probably sometime in May. Now the one big thing that I have to announce is that I'm going to launch my Just Joey Travels roommate matching program for the Atlantis Allure cruise, the big one out of Miami for 2027. OK, so when I do the podcast for this cruise when it goes on public sale, I will have more information on how the roommate matching program will work. But this is something I'm super, super excited to launch for you guys. I had a very brief chat with Rich on the cruise last week about it. So look out for that. I know there are a lot of solo travelers out there looking to join in on the Atlantis cruising experience and having a roommate cuts the cost basically in half. So stay tuned for that. I will let all of you know when I have more to announce, it's being worked on heavily on my end.
Moving on later on in March, March 27th to April the 3rd. It's a southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan on the Virgin Scarlet Lady. This went on public sale not that long ago, early in April. Check out Episode 64 of the podcast for the deep dive. San Juan is going to go to Curacao, I'm pronouncing that properly, Antigua and Saint Martin. All right, this is roughly 2/3 ish sold. Usually the demand for this cruise is pretty strong. They run it every year and the demand is pretty reliable. The demand for the Allure like the big one on the Royal Caribbean ships, that's also really reliable as well. They usually run that big one on a Royal Caribbean ship and then usually within a couple of weeks of that either before or after they usually have this smaller Southern Caribbean cruise and it's the same for 2027. The Southern Caribbean cruise is quite popular with couples definitely for those that are a little bit more mature, but the younger cruisers all go on the Royal Caribbean one because they like the parties, it's higher energy. I guess Southern Caribbean one it's great for really low key, really relaxing cruise for the people that don't want to party. OK, something for everyone. Lots and lots of rooms available. Roughly 25 to 30 interior rooms still available. With the solo insider rooms, about a couple of dozens of those are still available for 2900 dollars. That's the solo rate. Ocean view rooms roughly 20 left just under $2000. Tons and tons of ocean balcony rooms, probably over 400 by my account. There is a promotional solo sea terrace rate for $3700. Again for the promo rates you don't get to choose your room. Room could be in a noisy area, balcony might be smaller. A regular room on a regular rate that's not a solo rate it's just over 2000. Not bad, OK.
Those are all the cruises that we've kind of sort of known for like a little while. We knew the Allure was going to come and we knew the Southern Caribbean was going to come and it was just recently announced San Diego, Mexico this November is now out. OK, we're getting into the uncharted territory. What else is coming in 2027? These are straight from my notes that I took. There'll be two cruises in the Mediterranean for summer 2027. We don't have any other details. There's going to be a July 2027 cruise going to the Baltics on an Oceania ship. So the Oceania ship, Oceania Cruise Lines is a more premium luxury cruise line that's the same cruise line that sailed Tahiti over this past New Year's. Copenhagen and Stockholm and some other places in between is where that is going to go. If you were on the Tahiti New Year's Oceania cruise you're going to get first dips on this July 2027 cruise and then, like I said, we'll move on to Stage 2 alumni presale and it will eventually go on public sale. That's all the information that we have, that's all Rich said. I think the Oceania cruises are very popular, I'm starting to learn, so this one could be a very fast seller. We'll see. There will be a Halloween cruise in 2027 out of Los Angeles. No other details, that's all we know. There will be another Thanksgiving cruise in 2027. That's all we know. On the flip side, there will be no South America cruises in 2027 and there'll be no Alaska cruises in 2027. That's a 2027 update. Those are all the details we have which is not a lot, but as things get released I will, as always, do a podcast episode, I'll put on my social media, so on and so forth, all right.
The final bit we have is we got a very tiny sneak peek into 2028 with Atlantis, just a couple grains of information. So Atlantis is looking at an Australia cruise. Doesn't mean it will happen, they're exploring to see if it might be a possibility. The other thing Rich said was Atlantis will be back in Asia in 2028, no other details because 2028 is pretty far away. I won't suggest that you bank on these very tiny little grains of information for 2028. It's quite far, I think once we get into end of 2026, early 2027 we'll probably hear a little bit more from Team Atlantis as to how 2028 is shaping up.
But for now, that is your probably pretty comprehensive look at every upcoming Atlantis cruise. Both the ones that have been released and are on the website on public sale, you can go book it now and obviously if it's going to be your first time going on Atlantis, you're obviously going to choose Just Joey Travels right? And also a little peek of some of the ones that are knowledge we know are coming. We know the Allure 2027 cruise is going to come. It's not released just yet, but it's obviously no secret. And then obviously there's some newer things coming out for the rest of 2027 as well. So I'm very excited to hear about some of the ones coming in 2027 where the details are still being worked out. I probably could have bet good money that there were going to be two Mediterranean cruises. There have been two Mediterranean cruises for quite a while now. There have been some years in the past where they just did one Mediterranean cruise, sometimes they're just on the bigger ship, but Med cruises are very popular so it does not surprise me at all that they're doing two Med cruises. The July 2027 cruise on the Oceania ship, I wasn't expecting that, I think they were looking at some way to do another charter on Oceania because you know, the Tahiti cruise sold out so freaking quickly. The Thanksgiving cruise I can believe because the Thanksgiving cruise for this year 2026 is selling kind of beyond their expectations and selling a little faster than I thought it would as well, so it might become a regular thing if it continues to sell so well. So another 27 Halloween 2027. The Halloween cruises used to be a staple on the Atlantis calendar. It was one of the cruises that happened every single year. SoCal down to Mexico over Halloween. Last year in 25, no West Coast sailings at all. This year they have two, I just got back from the one last week, LA down in Mexico, we have the one in November coming up, San Diego down in Mexico. But the San Diego one is like a week after Halloween. The Halloween cruises used to be so much fun, so I'm very curious to see how big of a difference that is going to make. It's also kind of competing a little bit with the Thanksgiving cruise, so I'm watching this November very carefully to see if that might be some sort of data point for us looking into 2027. But the Halloween cruise, I just have so much fun on those Halloween cruises so I'm really excited that it's gonna be actually over Halloween in 2027, all right?
There you go. So again, reach out to me, Just Joey Travels, if you're thinking about going on your first Atlantis cruise. We went through a lot of different cruises here. I do have a wait list as well so if one of the cruises I mentioned today is one you're interested in but it's not on public sale yet but you want to get in line with Just Joey Travels, I have an internal wait list that I put people on for the Allure. I have a ton of people on that wait list that are first time Atlantis cruisers and they want to go on the Allure. Just reach out to me and I'll put you on the wait list for the sailing that you want to go on, even if it's not on public sale, so that once it goes on public sale I'll get you ready before that happens, so that we can book it right away so that you have the best selection of rooms. Because obviously it's like a really, really popular sailing when it goes on public sale, rooms will start getting gobbled up left and right. It's not that the cruise is going to sell out right away they don't usually do that, but the longer you wait to book yourself onto a popular fast selling cruise the less rooms you will have to choose from and some of the room types will probably sell out right away. There are certain ships like on the Virgin Ships there are not that many interior rooms. Interior room is obviously the least expensive type of room. So if you want to save money, you want interior room. That's one situation where you want to book as early as possible because on a more popular sailing, the interior rooms get gobbled up instantly. The only type of rooms that get gobbled up faster are the suites usually because the alumni gobble up all the suites and the suites are only usually like 4 to 6% of the rooms. There's not that many suites on most cruise ships and the alumni usually gobble all of them up during the presale.
The other thing I want to point out is you do not need to have all the money for the cabin up front. Atlantis offers 2 payment plans that are interest free and fee free. So if you want details on booking a cruise you would prefer to book it earlier to have the best option of rooms or to get one of the categories that might sell out quickly. Just let me know I can do all the calculations for you as to approximately how much you need to pay at the time of booking. You will need to put some amount of money, 2, 3, 4, $500 usually kind of somewhere around that area as the deposit at the time of booking, but then the other payments get spread out and there are a couple ways that Atlantis does it so keep that in mind. If you were thinking about going on your first cruise you don't need to have all the money upfront.
On the flip side, for those of you that are into the credit card game or you're into "churning" credit cards—those of you that do it, you know who you are—this is also a good opportunity to meet the sign up bonus on a credit card. Assuming you have the means and the cash just sitting there, putting a cruise—you know, a full cabin for an ocean balcony room on one of these cruises is something like $4000—that could easily just be the full sign up bonus on a credit card. I have had a couple of clients ask me about "oh I'm thinking about getting a credit card can I time it with booking the cruise?" Yes you can. You do also have the option at the time of booking just to pay for the entire cruise upfront. So if you were thinking about getting a credit card and thinking about booking your first cruise, come to Just Joey Travels. I'm very familiar with the credit card game I have been a long time player myself and I will get you sorted. So no matter who you are, if you think about going on to an Atlantis cruise for your very first time, come to Just Joey Travels.
All right with that stay tuned to the podcast. By the way, can you all of you just go follow my Instagram, the Just Joey Travels Instagram, even if you're not going to book with me just as a free token of your appreciation. Don't lie, I know you appreciate me. Just give me a follow on my Instagram you can mute my account if you don't want to see it just give me a follow. I'm not too proud to beg. And also if you are a regular listener of the podcast, just follow the podcast, maybe give a little five star review because you know you love me. I know you love me. All right, we're just rambling now, so hope you enjoyed that comprehensive overview of everything that we know so far about all the upcoming Atlantis Cruises. Again, first time cruisers, head to Just Joey Travels and until next time, bye y'all.
